About

 Hello !
My name is Youssef Harzy a Moroccan photographer, globetrotter, Style & Fashion lover, Art enthusiast and Instagram addict, living in Casablanca and grew up in LaĆ¢youne ( South of Morocco). Many people have asked me why I've chosen "The False Guide" as a name of the blog, well it goes back to the day when my friend and I met three beautiful Hungarian girls who were lost in the alleyways of the old Medina in Merrakech. We decided to show them around in the old city before walking them to their hotel, everything was fine until two huge guys ( they were undercover police officers) stopped us in the middle of "Place Jamaa Lefna" and asked  for what our relationship was with those girls, we said they were our friends, apparently in Morocco you cannot walk with foreign people without the permission of the Moroccan tourist police, this usually happens in Merrakech, so the officers asked us to join them to the police station to make sure of our ID.In the station the pigs (aka police officers) called me "The false Guide" because I was showing the girls around without a certificate of a guide but the thing is I liked the name. And so it stuck, after 10 minutes they released us and warned us to stay away from foreign people. That made me really upset because I really wanted to see those girls again and go out with them which I did at the end (but that's beside the point), I didn't like the Moroccan system and law at that point ( so unfair ). Long story short that's how I got the name, and now this blog is my new born baby and it's dedicated to publishing my travel photos, fashion events, photoshoots & collaborations with other artists. I hope my readers will enjoy every post published.
